CCTP-505 AVATAR

Being a member of many communities, I’m also interested in researching topics related to them; one of my recent research projects focused on online feminism communities. My keyword is “community”, which usually contains three elements, social interaction, common ties, and area. In my avatar, a decahedron is built with colorful paper, representative of the way that people from diverse backgrounds connect and join together in a common space to achieve interaction. It’s a structure different from the sum of all its parts, possessing powers and potentialities not present in any of its components. Hillery, in an article published in 1955, found no fewer than 94 definitions of community with only one common element: all the definitions deal with people. Thus I made mini paper figures painted in various colors and put them on top as a symbol.

(I intend to add more independent spaces extended to the main body later.)
